May brings with it the joys of Spring! The days get longer, the weather gets warmer, and the food gets fresher. We start to see more and more fruits and vegetables hit their peak growing season, especially berries.
May is National Strawberry Month, and in fact, many states hold annual festivals to celebrate the sweet, red, fruit. There, you can find almost anything you can imagine, with a strawberry twist. Popular foods are Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Strawberry Ice Cream, and Strawberry Donuts.
If you like another berry better, don’t worry because we probably have a specific holiday that celebrates that too.
On May, 3rd it's National Raspberry Tart Day,
followed by May,17th National Cherry Cobbler Day, and May 26th National Blueberry Cheesecake Day.

Or if you have an even sweeter sweet tooth, May 15th is National Chocolate Chip Day. You can celebrate with good old Chocolate Chip Cookies, or be more adventurous and start your day with Chocolate Chip Pancakes.
