It's SPRING!
Planting a Garden
Nothing says spring like fresh flowers or a vegetable garden. Take your child in the backyard with a shovel and watering can, pick an area of your yard to start, and dig some holes to plant easy to grow flowers, like zinnias or peonies. You can plant in a small pot or flowerbox with potting soil if you do not have a large yard or live in an apartment. Discuss the colors and sizes of the flowers with your child for a learning experience.
Give them the responsibility of watering the plants and making sure they get sunlight everyday.
